Sonia has been leading the Community Outreach initiatives and teaching Environmental Education for as long as I can remember. She’s a multi-talented individual that continually innovates creative ways to engage the Lobitos youth and protect the environment. One of my favorite initiatives that she’s played a huge role in is the recycled costume contest celebrating Earth Day. What’s so brilliant about this is that not only do the young people think up ways to recycle everyday items that may typically be thrown away, but it engages the entire family. It’s obvious that a lot of time and effort go into making the celebration a success. The costumes they come up with are completely adorable too! Thanks Sonia for all you do!
