Pretty stoked on this: the local Lobitos government has officially recognized WAVES activities in Lobitos! See the letter here: reconocimiento MDL. Many years of hard work is paying off and being recognized by the local government is testament to that fact. It couldn’t come at a better time as the Lobitos community celebrated it’s anniversary. Additionally, the team was asked to be part of a public parade through town.
We are hoping that the government decree of recognition by the new mayor will lead to even more collaboration between WAVES Peru and the municipal government entity.
