Go Global with WAVES

WAVES is going global and we want you to join us.

Over the last 7 years much energy has been focused on creating impact one community in Northern Peru: Lobitos. It’s magical. Unique. The waves pump there. People are humble. Very easily locals could be left behind as tourism increases. Thanks to countless people to name here, but most importantly the current team and travelers on the ground – good work is being done on a daily basis that directly benefits community members. Impact can be seen in education through Community Outreach programming for the over 200 youth in and out of the local school system; the health of families who now have a concrete floor replacing a dirt one; and new, blossoming social enterprises for youth.

Stay tuned for some big things from WAVES in Lobitos. It will always be our Global Center for Surf Community Enhancement.

Due to our success in Lobitos, we’ve been able to make connections with grassroots initiatives in places like Colombia, Nicaragua, Mexico and Indonesia. Together we now have an opportunity to expand our impact in the lives of travelers, community members and the grassroots organizations across the globe. However, we need help. That’s where you come in – whether it be designating WAVES as a beneficiary of things you already do (go online, shop), become a WAVES Maker and donate on a monthly basis, or make an outright donation – there are a variety of ways to help make WAVES. Your contributions will help get more boots on the ground to connect travelers to surf and amazing experiences with the communities and organizations that need it most.
