WAVES Social Entrepreneurship Contest

We’re hiring!  Instead of going the traditional route for identifying an amazing candidate to run our Entrepreneurship Empowerment program, we’ve decided to take a different tack and hold a contest.  A contest where you can win a year in Peru. Yeah, you’ll have to work for it, but we think you’ll be happy you did.

The simple breakdown to the contest is this:

  • Design a plan to sustainably grow entrepreneurship activities in Lobitos, Peru that include and benefit community members
  • Interviews
  • Top 5 selected
  • Fundraising portion

While rather remote, the world class waves keep things interesting. Pictured above, Alana Blanchard and Sage Erickson stop by the shop during the Movistar Women’s Pro Lobitos 2012.  Thanks to the team and some amazing volunteers, the shop was prepared.  There’s always interesting and talented people around… Like Ludo Jaccard a WAVES alumni who made this video:
