What will I do in Ostional?

This is a special pilot project opportunity to work on an interpretive trail through the mangrove in the community. This is an excellent opportunity to have an hands-on environmental education and ecotourism experience with a great team of locals and international experts.

Eric Olson, Senior Lecturer of Ecology in the Sustainable International Development Master’s Degree Program at Brandeis University, will be sharing his knowledge in this mangrove and gallery forest stewardship initiative.

Specific activities may include:

  • Install posts for interpretive trail markers
  • Engineer elevated pathway in areas prone to flooding
  • Remove invasive species
  • Care for tree nursery
  • Pick up trash
  • Plant trees

$1,595 which includes:
