Peru Media Recognizes 'Scenic Reserve' Efforts

20 Apr 2011by

One of the most renowned Peruvian newspapers, El Comercio, printed an article about how Lobitos could be the first marine ‘Scenic Reserve’ in Peru. The article recognizes the effort

of long-time Lobitos resident Mariana Rodriguez as well as the group of organizations supporting the effort, including WAVES for Development. This builds on the momentum started in 2009 with the municipal declaration of the points, dunes and beaches as ‘intangible zones’, an initiative also backed by WAVES.
