A collaboration with the Swiss Institute of Technology of Lausanne to bring Internet in Lobitos

27 Nov 2011by

In Sept. 2010, a project was launched with the Swiss Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL). 5 students from a corporate strategy course took the challenge to find computers and related devices to build up an Internet room in Lobitos.

After a 6 months analysis followed by 6 months fundraising, the project is poised to succeed. 12 computers were collected thanks to the EPFL network. A portion of the $ raised was designated to send over the material. This has been possible thanks to the support of S.T. Dupont Paris which kindly donated goods for the raffle.

The project is not finished. Some computers still have to be sent to Peru. We will keep you updated.
