I first met Antonella when she came to Lobitos with her University group. What stuck out to me then – beyond speaking Spanish like a champ (she’s Peruvian / Canadian), was her ability to connect with and relate to the young people of Lobitos. A couple of years later she was back as one of the instructors for WAVES Peru and leaders initiating the Girls Club. We are grateful for all the contributions she has made not only to the organization, but the Lobitos community. While not in Lobitos now, she has made a lasting impact on the lives of the young people there as witnessed by this great little video put together by a number of stellar volunteers currently in Lobitos.
