Recognizing Awesome: Brendan McDonald

22 Nov 2015by

In this time of thanksgiving and gratitude, I’d like to bring back a series on “Recognizing Awesome”. The series highlights a few of the amazing people that have contributed significantly to the WAVES mission. Brendan McDonald is one of those awesome people. From Australia, he is one of the founders to sign the WAVES for Development Peru nonprofit papers constituting the organization legally in Peru (along with Daniela Amico and myself). He was the first “Director of Voluntourism” for the organization and helping create many of the standards and procedures still followed today. His experience with traveling individuals, groups and volunteering in general is impressive; we are grateful for what he shared with WAVES. His contributions to the organization are numerous and to this day we hold that gratitude. Thanks Brendan, wishing the best to you and your family in Australia!
