Surf Festival in Colombia // Festival de Surf por la Equidad
07 Oct 2015by Dave AaboWe are honored to be an invited guest for this unique festival event in a remote area of coastal Colombia on the Pacific ocean. Having taken an interest in the fascinating history of the area, the Fundacion Buen Punto has led efforts in supporting young people and community members in Nuqui through surfing. UNESCO, the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Colombian Presidential Agency for International Cooperation, the local government of Nuqui, Choco, as well as renowned surfers, ISA certified instructors, and surf nonprofit experts will come together in Termales, Nuqui, Choco, Colombia from Oct 9-12th. There will be surfing, workshops, music, cinema, arts & crafts, and culinary delights. We look forward to sharing more about the experience soon! In the mean time, check out the schedule below and following along with the Facebook Event.
Update: The Event was Awesome! We look forward to doing more with this community and partner organization through a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Check out some of the images:
