WAVES Surf Shop

Hours: 9:00am-12:30pm and 3:00pm-6:00pm Monday-Saturday

The WAVES Surf Shop opened in August of 2011 as part of WAVES for Development’s Social Entrepreneurship Initiative. The shop is staffed and operated by local Lobiteños who envision a better future for themselves and their families. WAVES encourages the staff to pursue their interests by providing opportunities for specialized skill development such as photography, board repair and business management. The center also assists in developing small business opportunities in the community.

Products and Services
WAVES Surf Shop offers a variety of products and services including board rentals, board repair, and an surf lessons! Stop by and check out the shop and the great selection of surf wax, sunscreen, t-shirts (including designs by local artist), sandals, postcards, traction pads and more.

Rentals/Prices:
Surf boards

• Full day – S/. 30
• ½ day – S/. 20

Wet-suits 

• Full day – S/. 15
• ½ day – S/. 10

Photography:

Local photographer, Henry Espinoza, has been capturing the wave- shredding skills of surfers in Lobitos for the past 3 years. Visit his facebook page and check out his work.

Laundry Service:

Laundry service is offered for the low cost of S/. 6 per kilogram of clothes.

Directions:

The surf shop is located in front of the Mirador overlooking the beach.
