How your donations make an impact

Salaries of local English, Entrepreneurship and Environmental instructors in coastal Peru

Since 2009, over 100 Peruvian youth demonstrated the ability to communicate with tourists in basic English, properly dispose of waste and/or advocate for their beach environment.  A few have gone on to start their own small businesses that benefit themselves and their community because of their participation in the WAVES programs.

* For $20 you can help keep the classes going.

Building and art supplies for community projects

Today youth are learning skills to launch local businesses and increase their families’ income.  Education that leads to more education and jobs.

* A $50 donation will help fund community & education projects that provide healthy outlets for creative expression.

Surfing, swimming and first aid equipment, supplies, and materials

Over 50 youth have learned to swim because of WAVES programming, reducing their risk of drowning and improving their health. 5 youth have been trained in first aid, some of the only people in their community ready to take action in the case of an emergency.

* $200 supports the maintenance, storage and replacement of equipment and supplies for 1 month.
