Every April 22, our team at WAVES Peru celebrates Earth Day with the local kids and community of Lobitos. This year, we teamed up with one school to host a fashion show and parade. Each child created a beautiful outfit made from recycled goods to show off what their love for the earth looked like.
After a morning of creativity and fun, our volunteers, staff, and teachers assisted the children and families around the town for the Earth Day parade. During the activity, the WAVES volunteers explained how important recycling and reusing rubbish is for the Earth and small, easy ways to do it. Check out the photos of the event and big thanks to our volunteers and Henry Espinoza for his photography skills.
