Beyond the Surface, a surf-related nonprofit led by Georgetown University student Emi Koch, supports programs in Peru, India and South Africa. WAVES was lucky enough to have Emi visit the programs last year. Well, she hasn’t stopped helping WAVES since then – she has secured a donation of shoes and other apparel items from Vans! The first suitcase of goods has been delivered to Lobitos; the timing couldn’t be better as volunteers and locals work together to create a halfpipe skate ramp. Thanks Beyond the Surface and Vans!
